Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine
Acute illnesses and minor accidents are part of everyday life in a pediatric practice. Some symptoms require a medical examination on the same day.
Many infections – especially of the respiratory tract – are caused by viruses and can be accompanied by high or prolonged fever. If medically indicated, a small blood sample (usually from the fingertip) allows us to quickly gain additional information, such as checking for signs of a bacterial infection.
In case of injuries
If a bone fracture is suspected or for larger wounds that may require stitches, we advise contacting a hospital emergency department directly.
We intentionally structure our consultation hours so that same-day appointments remain available each day for acutely ill children.
Occasionally, severe emergencies must be treated immediately. In such situations, delays in consultation hours may occur despite careful planning. We thank you for your understanding.
